We are a multicampus working group of 10 graduate students from UC Berkeley, Davis, Riverside, and UCLA. Our plan for our visit to the reserve is to hold a writing and practice-sharing retreat: writing collectively and individually, holding meetings, offering presentations for one another, taking a hike or two, and exploring the site of the reserve. Our choice to come to the relatively remote site of the Pt. Reyes Field Station is motivated by our group’s ecological approach to queer and trans studies, thinking about queer ecologies and how queer and trans cultural production intersects with the organization of space, nature, and the environment.
