I will be searching for tiger beetles and their larvae to observe their behavior and understand how to find and film them for a KQED Deep Look episode. The larvae live in burrows in the sand and are sit-and-wait predators, while the adults are active hunters. I would like to see if it is possible to find the larval burrows and see if the hunting behavior can be observed and filmed.
