Our purpose is an oceanography lab field trip; we begin with a visit to the California Academy of Sciences en route to the field station. From there, we are comparing the environments of Point Reyes and nearby areas (rocky shore, sandy beach, estuary), considering human impacts on these environments, and the connections to both land and land use, as well as offshore environments
