We plan to spend our time collecting Amanita sporocarps and soils from our lab's long-term established sites in PRNS. The samples collected will help answer questions like 1) what makes certain invasive fungi more successful than others?, 2) how do fungal specialized metabolites evolve over time after introduction to a new range?, 3) how do invasive fungi interact with native organisms?, and 4) does mushroom chemistry mediate interactions with other organisms?
