Black Surf Week is a unique EDI initiative program offered in collaboration by UCSD Recreation Department, Muir College & the Black Resource Center. This program serves BIPOC UCSD undergraduate & graduate students with support from additional UCSD & SIO staff, faculty and provosts. Surf lessons are provided by UCSD Recreation via their existing surf classes program. Staging on beach next to access ramp and surf north of the SIO pier. Beach lesson including safety, skills, & ocean environment. Surf for 1.5 hours per session. 10 - 14 persons per group.
